Chris’s 30 Day Reboot Day 16

Chris’s 30 Day Reboot Day 16 -Chris has successfully made it past the half way and really kept his food choices on point. He’s been fighting a cold so I suggested he add some nutritional yeast to his diet, just a little extra immune support. However, he added it to his oatmeal, which I would not recommend. Nutritional yeast has a bit of a “cheesy” flavor so it’s better over pasta sauces, rice or popcorn, or anything in which a cheese flavor would make sense.  Chris’s bored eating, if it continues, will need to be addressed. However, it was a one time incidence we won’t worry too much about it. One way I recommend fighting bored eating is to not deny yourself the food, but instead make a deal with yourself. You can eat whatever you want, but first you must find a project, a book, or something engaging to do (including meditation if you can’t think of anything else) for 20 minutes. Chances are you will forget that you even wanted food in the first place.

Still have that cold everyone has.  It’s an ambulatory sickness.  It started last week as a small sore throat.  I had a fever for a couple days and was tired but never felt like I had to take a day off.  I’ve had the sniffles but never any sort of stuffed up nose or sinus infection symptoms.

This weekend it seems to have moved to my lungs.  Woke up with a persistent cough Saturday night.  Not sure if it is actually in my lungs or just the post-nasal drip that is causing the cough.  Again, there is nothing debilitating about this cold but I’m sick of it.

Added a teaspoon of nutritional yeast powder to my oatmeal this morning per Rachel’s suggestion.  Maybe it’s just this brand but the taste is not great.  It has a cloying sweetness in it that hangs around ling after the food is gone.

Feel a bit stuck around the 180-pound mark.  I feel like I should be making better progress.  My workouts are good and I’m healthy, but I just feel like the numbers should be moving.  I have to have patience.

I did a little boredom eating last night before bed.  Keep reading
