It is so much easier to be a healthy eater when you set parameters for allowing yourself your occasional indulgences. This helps because nothing is “off limits” but stays in a small enough quantity to minimize the damage.

Saturday, January 27th 2018, 178.4 Pounds

Just a brief note today.  The internet connection on my tablet stopped working this morning for no reason.  Diet is fine.  Thought I might have a nice beer last night with the movie I rented.  It was the new ‘sequel’, or whatever you want to call it, of Blade Runner.  But I resisted the urge.  I was so sleepy yesterday.  I really need to get my 8 hours.  Especially if I’m going to be sitting at a desk all day. I was not meant to be caged!

Went for a ‘run’ in the woods with Buddy today.  The trails are terrible.  Total ice sheet.  Both of us were falling down.  When they are like that you just have to tiptoe in the margins and try to fall gracefully.  The old dog is having trouble climbing stairs today.

Tried to watch that movie but it wasn’t good, it was really long and I was falling asleep.  ce’st la vie.  My life doesn’t seem to support extended period (2 hours) of peace.

I’m going to a poker game tonight. I’ll buy one good beer to drink.  I’ll make some hummus to bring with cut veg.  Running 16 milers in the morning.
